Kestner porcelain factory provided bisque heads to Catterfelder Puppenfabric to produce their child and baby dolls on composition bodies. Catterfelder dolls are of very good quality The doll is in excellent condition with No Damages. Germany, circa 1915. Her Bisque socket head with beautiful painting and lovely coloring, blue glass sleep eyes, painted curly lashes, open mouth, two porcelain upper teeth with molded tongue , dimpled chin, pale blond mohair hair wig styled with braids, Marks: 262 Made in Germany 55. Just a couple details to mention. There is couple of white tiny dots at the right side of her head near the rim, probably from removing her wig. Inside her head the bisque has a slight excess of the porcelain which makes the surface slightly uneven from inside. It obviously was done in the bisque molding during manufacturing or during firing process. It was not considered a flaw to keep her out of production. It is not noticeable visually. It does not affect her facial beauty. The imperfection can be seen from inside the head as a white line. NO damages to the body or the finish. All original finish with lovely coloring and varnish. Her clothes is beautiful, she has undergarments little pink pantaloons and child’s antique shirt. Her white dress is used to belong a little girl. I believe it is hand made with beautiful embroidery. She has lovely baby felt booties with original silk shoelaces and baby’s cotton socks. She has a beautiful faux fur coat with matching hat. All lined. This lovely Toddler is so beautiful and happy. She is all ready to be display with her new family and friends.
