Here is a 25" Antique German bisque doll by Simon Halbig Mold 1339. Doll mold 1339 plus the initials LL & S are for Louis Lindner & Sohn. Circa 1908 This unusual doll is a Simon Halbig special order for Louis Lindner & Sons, toy sellers located in Sonneberg, Germany. Very pretty girl with original deep blue sleep eyes in her original fully articulated body. Head; Markings : 1339 S&H LL&S 11 1/2 She has a bisque socket head with blue glass sleep eyes, with all wax to her eyelids. She has finely painted all around eyelashes with molded and painted light brown eyebrows, lovely accented nostrils; she has an open mouth with corral painted lips and four upper teeth. She has replacement paper mache pate with mohair pale blond wig. The wig is hand stitched. She has pierced ears with glass earrings. Her right ear has a tiny nick around the ear hole. Her bisque head is perfect with No repairs or cracks. She has invisible factory line on a back of her head which I truly believe was done in the bisque molding before the firing. It is not noticeable visually or by touching from inside or outside her head. It was not considered a flaw to keep her from production. She has missing paint at the top of her head and a small stain on her forehead which is almost invisible. Body: The doll is in her original wood and composition German Sonneberg fully articulated body. The body has all beautiful finish with shiny original varnish. Some small paint touch up to the body around ball joints. Very minor wear to composition. The body is strung very well and doll holds a pose easily. Clothes: This darling has a beautiful mostly antique clothes. Her dress is antique and beautiful. It is made of cotton Swiss gauze fabric, fits her perfectly. The dress is all lined with fine cotton fabric. She has set of undergarments. All antique, with old socks and new reproduction kid leather boots.
